Meet the Founder
Omowumi Oyedotun
Omowumi Oyedotun is the founder of Birth Like a Queen, an international maternity coordination company operating under Queen Birth Services, a registered business in Nigeria.
A graduate of the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, she brings 15 years of experience in the aviation sector and eight years of building Birth Like a Queen.
“Choosing a destination was only the beginning.”
Her story
Why Birth Like a Queen exists
As a frequent traveller, Omowumi had always wanted to have her child in New York, a city she loved. Planning that experience revealed how difficult it could be to coordinate maternity care in another country. Choosing a destination was only the beginning. Finding a doctor who would accept an international patient, arranging hospital care and navigating the practical requirements needed careful preparation.
That experience, combined with her professional background, informed the creation of Birth Like a Queen.
Since its establishment, the company has supported more than 300 families, coordinating visa guidance, doctor and hospital sourcing, accommodation, postpartum support and newborn documentation.
Through Birth Like a Queen, Omowumi brings her aviation experience and understanding of international maternity planning to the families she serves. Her focus is on careful coordination, clear information and dependable support, from the first consultation to returning home with a newborn.
